Funded by T.Anne Clearly International Dissertation Research Fellowship from the University of Iowa, I conducted field research in Geneva, Switzerland, from January 16th to February 5th, 2019, which included an onsite observation of the 32nd Working Group Session of the Universal Periodic Review and a series of interviews from January 16th to February 5th, 2019 with current staff members at transnational NGOs, bureaucrats and researchers at various UN agencies, and state delegates across the world.
